Instead, we recommend that you wait until after arrival to schedule your tours, when you can take the weather and how you and your kids feel into account before committing to a tour. But in addition to at least one snorkeling tour to get you out to the beautiful islands off Placencia's shore, we do suggest a tour of Monkey River Village and Monkey River jungle (including manatee sighting), the Mayan archaeological site at Lubaantun and jungle hiking in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
