But, please remember that Belize is an active adventure destination, so some tours and activities may not be appropriate for children, and some tours (particularly caving tours) have height restrictions (generally 48") and some have age restrictions (ATM - 11 years old). Also, not all dive and snorkel shops are equipped to handle young children, and no resorts or tour operators in Belize have programs specifically tailored for children.

Belize Jungle and Beach Family Vacation Package

This Belize family vacation package lets your family experience both the jungle and Belize's unique coastal environment by combining 3 nights in the jungle with 4 nights at the beach. 

Jungle activities in this Belize family vacation package include the Xunantunich Maya archaeological site, ATM cave and guided night-time jungle hiking (the best time to see jungle animals).  Beach tours include a 1/2 day snorkeling at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley, plus a full day sailing and snorkeling trip, including an island beach barbecue.  (Tours can be substituted with adjustment in rate.)

Because of easy access to good local restaurants while at the beach, meals are included for the adults while in the jungle, but not for the beach portion of the package (except for the barbecue island lunch on the full day of sailing and snorkeling).  All domestic transfers, taxes and service charges are also included.  Transfers include ground transfers between Belize City and the jungle, and domestic air transfers between Belize City and the beach.

Belize Family Jungle Vacation Package

This Belize vacation package allows your family to immerse itself in the jungle environment, but also includes a day of snorkeling at the Belize Barrier Reef, along with four full days of Belize family vacation adventures such as caving, cave tubing, jungle hiking or horseback riding, jungle river kayaking and Mayan ruins. 

All meals (breakfasts, lunches and dinners) are included, and meals are served family style so that you can share the day's adventures with other travelers.  (Parent meals also include local rum drinks and local beer.)  Rate includes all taxes, domestic ground transfers and complimentary use of swimming pool.

Belize Family Beach Vacation Package

With our Family Beach Vacation Package, your family will live for a week in the very unique Placencia Village, an authentic Belize Creole fishing village.

During your family vacation, you'll learn about the local cultures and get to know local Belizeans, while enjoying the best beaches on mainland Belize, good restaurants, friendly people, and a very eclectic group of travelers and residents -- not to mention great snorkeling and fishing, Mayan ruins and the jungle (including Howler Monkeys, iguanas, manatees, endangered Morelet Crocodiles and tropical birds).

Lodging is in a 2-bedroom/2-bath partial seaview beach suite with full kitchen, living/dining area, a/c, with resort amenities including two swimming pools, kayaks and bikes. 

Breakfasts are included, but we strongly suggest trying some of the good local restaurants in nearby Placencia Village for dinner - not only can you enjoy authentic Belizean Creole and Garifua food, but you'll be able to meet and interact with local Belizeans and Belize families. (Lunches are usually part of tours from Placencia.)

Tours are not included because of the variability of marine weather.  Instead, we recommend that you wait until after arrival to schedule your tours, when you can take the weather and how you and your kids feel into account before committing to a tour.  But in addition to at least one snorkeling tour to get you out to the beautiful islands off Placencia's shore, we do suggest a tour of Monkey River Village and Monkey River jungle (including manatee sighting), the Mayan archaeological site at Lubaantun and jungle hiking in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
