Belize Honeymoons

Sail Away Honeymoon

Placencia Belize fishing boats at the dockA little different honeymoon for a little different folk -- hang out in Placencia Village for a couple of days -- maybe enjoying Yoli's Bar and Grill built over the Caribbean, Monkey River for the jungle, Howler Monkeys and authentic Belizean Creole food, dancing on the beach at Barefoot Beach Bar,  or a quiet night watching the moon rise.

Two nights in Placencia Village, then  out to sea on The Long Gone, a 30' monohull sailboat.

The Long Gone, Placencia BelizeSome fishing, some snorkeling, some island hopping - and the wind (it's really about the wind) -- plus all meals, local rum drinks and beer.  For the Cattleya, you can choose to buy the groceries and cook your own meals, or have the captain buy the groceries and you cook, or, if you want to be pampered a little, the captain and a first mate buy the groceries and cook -- up to you.

Finish up with a couple more nights in Placencia Village - wash off the salt, get your land legs back, have a few One Barrels, and then it's back to the "real world" (but, we know you'll be back . . . ).

Rate depends on where you want to stay in Placencia and the time of year.  (For example, a  moderately priced clean and comfortable beach front room at a Placencia Village beach hotel in the summer, with a 3-night cruise on the Long Gone, plus round-trip air transfers between Belize International and Placencia will be right around US$1,500 per person, two people in a cabana and sharing a hotel room.  Prices go up from there.)

Whatever options you choose, everything is subject to availability, and the rate won't include international airfare, the Belize departure tax (US$35 per person), guided land tours, gratuities for your sailing crew, personal items or incidentals, souvenirs, or trip cancellation insurance.
