The Tides Beach Resort is a very comfortable, well-managed hotel, locally owned resort by Patojo and Sabrina Paz, local natives of San Pedro.  Patojo and Sabrina designed The Tides to maintain the beauty and architectural heritage of Ambergris Caye.

The location is great -- quiet beachfront, but also just a 5 minute walk to San Pedro Town, making for very easy convenient access to local restaurants, bars and shops. 
 

The Tides hotel amenities include a new freshwater swimming pool, private dock and on-premises dive shop (Patojos).

All hotel rooms are air conditioned, with private bath, ceiling fans and small fridges.  Room rate includes continental breakfast, and rooms come with either two double beds or one king bed.

Caribbean Villas is a lovely, well managed hotel  located south of San Pedro Town - about a 15 minute walk.

Caribbean Villas property includes a pool, beach bar, and, best of all, a bird sanctuary that is one of the few remaining pieces of littoral forest on Ambergris Caye.  Hotel rooms are designed to catch the breeze to reduce the need for air conditioning, and water heating is supplemented by roof-top solar panels.

Hotel amenities include a pool, beach bar, 300 foot dock and attentive service - a great little place to enjoy Ambergris Caye.
