Cancellations and Refund Policies |
A deposit of thirty percent (30%)
of the total amount of final quote is due within seven (7) days after preliminary email
confirmation of booking subject to receipt of deposit. Balance is due not less than
forty-five (45) days before scheduled date of arrival in Belize.
If payment has not been received at least
forty-five (45) days before the scheduled date of arrival in Belize, we will assume the
trip is cancelled, and the 30% deposit will be deemed forfeited. Last minute
bookings will be honored if payment is made by MasterCard or Visa (see credit card payment
information below).
Note: Changes in scheduled dates of arrivals
and departures may involve additional costs such as extra transportation costs for late
arrivals to catch up with trip, or early departures to make scheduled travel
arrangements. However, these additional expenses will be billed to you at our cost.

A full
refund minus a $50 USD handling fee will be given for cancellations received by us in
writing (email is acceptable) not fewer than forty-six (46) days before the scheduled date

refunds or credits will be given for unused goods or services (such as airfare or hotel

reserve the right to cancel any trip for any or no reason. Full refunds will be
given for any trip cancelled by us, less the retail value of airfare, hotels, ground
transportation and other goods and services prepaid by us and used by our clients.

All trip members must sign a waiver
of liability before the trip begins. While we will do all that is reasonably
necessary for your safety, but we cannot guarantee your safety. You will be
hiking in jungles, exploring caves and ruins, and snorkeling and/or fishing in the
Caribbean Sea. These are natural environments, not regulated theme parks.
Therefore, we cannot control the existence or behavior of animals, birds, the weather,
water conditions, marine life or other people during your trip, meaning trip members must
acknowledge and be able to assume the possibility of incurring these risks.
Payments may be made
by checks drawn on U.S. funds, MasterCard/Visa or wire transfer.
Checks.
Checks should be made payable to Destinations Belize and mailed to Destinations
Belize, 3505 Halliday Ave., St. Louis, MO 63118.
Credit Cards.
Our MasterCard/Visa merchant's accounts are through a Belizean bank. All
Belize banks required a faxed signature to authorize "long distance" credit card
charges. We've tried to simplify this process as much as possible by including a credit
card authorization form on our site at
http://www.destinationsbelize.com/credit.htm.
If you want to use MasterCard or Visa
for your deposit, just print out this
credit card authorization form and then fax it to us at our US fax
number of (603)452-4797. Faxes sent to that number are automatically forwarded to us in
Belize (and are never seen or printed out in the States). This saves you the cost and
aggravation of trying to fax to Belize. (We have a good phone system for Central
America, but it's definitely not as reliable as Stateside systems.)
Wire Transfers.
Contact us for wiring information. Wiring charges are the responsibility of
the transferee.
