Neil Robert Brown
has worked in photography for over 15
years, searching for his imagery in the United States, Canada
and Belize.
Most of Neil's images are of pristine
wilderness. When man-made objects or structures are
included in Neil's work, they are often in decay, almost at
one with the organic life around them. Neil believes
this juxtaposition illustrates the resiliency of nature and
its ability to return to a natural state.
Neil has studied
photography, illustration, ceramics and drawing, and he has a
BFA in painting from the Kansas City Art Institute. The
many different media he has studied can be seen in the
tonality, composition and attention to form in his work.
Neil's works have
taken First Place at the Chicago Heritage Festival, Judges
Selection at Disney's Festival of the Masters, Award of Merit
from the Waterside Arts Festival of Louisville, and the Award
of Distinction from the Mainsail Arts Festival in St.
Petersburg, Florida.
