June through October are GREAT months for southern Belize fly fishing
and light tackle fishing trips! Lots of fish, not a lot of
anglers - what could be better?

Prime species are
permit on the flats, bones and tarpon at the cayes (our word for
islands), blackfin tuna (lots of schools, and those attract whale
sharks - an added bonus for summer Belize fishing), King Mackerel,
Barracuda (always in abundance), and assorted
and sundry jacks and snappers. (See our

So, whether your angling
