Packages: Island Paradise Honeymoon |
|

Turtle
Inn Verandah
|
Our Island Paradise Honeymoon begins
with three nights at Placencia's premier beachfront resort, Turtle
Inn, owned and operated by renowned director, Francis Ford Coppola.
|
Turtle Inn
features beautiful thatched beach cabanas and villas, a large
beachfront infinity pool, professional chef specializing in Italian
seafood, pastas and wood-fired pizzas, a cottage garden in which all
fresh greens and most vegetables are grown -- and attentive personal
service.
The Placencia portion of this
romantic Belize honeymoon features a chance for the newlyweds to relax
and get to know each other after the rigors of the wedding day.
But, the newlyweds are also treated to a guided tour of Monkey River,
Monkey River jungle and Monkey River Village - one of the best places
in Belize to see jungle wildlife and get a sample of Creole culture as
it existed 50 years ago. (Monkey River was named for the
abundance of Black Howler Monkeys in the jungle surrounding the
village. Visitors also usually see crocodiles, lots of iguanas
and tropical birds (occasionally even toucans and Scarlet Macaws),
manatees and other exotic tropical wildlife. |
|
|
|
|
From Turtle Inn, it's on to the Placencia docks to board the
Talisman, a 50-foot ketch-rigged sailing yacht, for three days and
nights of captained and crewed sailing among the islands and reefs of
southern Belize.
|

Talisman |
During their cruise, your
clients can do nothing at all -- or, they can snorkel, kayak, fish
(light tackle, trolling and spear fishing using a traditional Hawaiian
sling - spear fishing lessons included), try their hand at
sailing, beachcomb on the many small islands off the Placencia coast,
dive for lobster and conch (in-season) and learn the most efficient
way to crack a coconut.
The Talisman cruise ends back
at the Placencia docks and a return to Turtle Inn for two nights of
pampering, then a short flight back to Belize International Airport
for connection with their international flight. |
