The pace is relaxed and unhurried, giving visitors a special
opportunity to get to know the local culture, explore the rainforest,
snorkel a little longer in beautiful coral gardens - spend a little
extra time in the hammock doing nothing at all.

Our Summer
2004 Land & Sea Special begins with ground transport from Belize
International Airport to duPlooy's Jungle Lodge on the banks of the
Macal River.
|
duPlooy's is a small,
intimate jungle resort with its own Botanic Gardens adjacent to the
Lodge. (The Botanic Gardens include an orchid house with over
300 individual plants and 120 species of identified orchids.)
duPlooy's offers a wide variety of activities including guided Mayan
ruins tours, canoeing, horseback riding, jungle hiking, caving and
birding. (Over 300 species of birds have been identified within
a 5-mile radius of duPlooy's and duPlooy's has its own resident
birding guide, Philip Mai.) |

Following three nights at duPlooy's, your clients are
transported by private vehicle to Belize Municipal Airport for their
flight to the Placencia in southern Belize.

Casa del Sol Villa is located
just outside Placencia Village, a relaxed Creole fishing village with
long, white sandy beaches, friendly people and a variety of
restaurants, cafes, bars, gift shops and services.
Casa del Sol
features its own beachfront swimming pool, air conditioning in
the bedrooms, full kitchen, living/dining area, daily maid
service and a large verandah with beautiful views of the
Caribbean and Placencia Village. |
