The Placencia area is a narrow 17-mile long peninsula that juts out into the Caribbean in southern Belize, about 40 miles south of Dangriga (as the crow flies). The Placencia Lagoon on the west separates it from the Belize mainland. The Caribbean Sea forms its eastern and southern borders.

Placencia Village is the hub of the Peninsula, where most of the local restaurants, bars, gift shops, banks, the main dock, grocery stores and other services are located.

Placencia Village offers a good range of lodging options, from rooms with shared baths, to cabanas on the beach with efficiency kitchens, to very nice two-bedroom air-conditioned apartments, beach houses, hotels and luxury villas.

People who stay in a hotel in Placencia Village proper tend to want to get to know Belizeans on a more personal level and to have the convenience of being able to walk to grocery stores, restaurants, the dock, etc.

Choices for a Placencia Village resort, hotel, cabana or guesthouse run the gamut from simple wooden cabanas on the beach to full service luxury resorts and hotels, with most everything in between.  Most all are beachfront, several have beachfront pools, on-premises restaurants and spas.

We work with most of the Placencia hotels, resorts, guesthouses, lodges and cabanas on the Peninsula, and those we have selected to feature on our Website are those which have consistently provided our clients with good service value within their rate categories.

Follow the links below for more information on Placencia lodging locations.
