Clean and Green Saturday, January 19, 2002

Everyone joined in to help clean-up Placencia Village on Clean and Green Saturday - kids, tourists, locals (both natives and gringos), senior citizens, tour guides, bank employees, hotel and grocery store owners and employees - you name it, they were there.  Over 150 trees planted, including blight resistant coconut palms, Golden Rain Trees, limes and mangoes. Lots of hard work -- and fun!  Sponsored by the Placencia Tourist Center, the Placencia Belize Tourist Industry Association and the Placencia Village Council.  Thanks to Wende Bryan, Graham Cabral and Ellie Dial for all of their efforts in organizing the day.
